iBGStar ® Diabetes Management Application (DMA) 2.2.1 data synchronization with Apple iDevices upgraded to new iOS9 operating system

In September 2015, Apple announced the availability of its new operating system iOS9. After upgrading their Apple iDevices to the new iOS9, some users of the iBGStar ® Diabetes Management Application (DMA) 2.2.1 might experience a data synchronization irregularity with their iBGStar ® and BGStar ® meters.

While Sanofi is seeking clarification of the root cause, BGStar ® and iBGStar ® users are advised to plug the meter into the lightning adapter first, then plug the lightning adapter in the phone, unplug the lightning adapter from the phone and re-connect again until the meter is recognized by the App.

All user data will be synchronized once the connection of iBGStar ® or BGStar ® with the iPhone has been restored. Furthermore, Sanofi confirms that the synchronization irregularity does not pose a medical risk for patients and does not influence the measurement accuracy of BGStar ® and iBGStar ® .
