Tagging your tests
“Fasting” test tag:
This test is usually the first test in the morning before any food or drink. Your should not have eaten anything for at least 6-8 hours. To let the meter know it is a fasting test, add a fasting tag to your blood glucose test results.
“Pre-Meal” test tag:
This test is the test done between a few minutes to 1 hour before your meals at lunch and dinner. To let the meter know it is pre-meal test, add a pre-meal tag to your blood glucose test results.
“Post-meal” test tag:
The post meal test is the test done 1.5 to 2 hours after your major meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. To let the meter know it is post-meal, add a post-meal tag to your blood glucose test results.
“No tag” test tag:
The “no tag” tag can be used to mark any readings taken outside of a mealtime, fasting-time or to mark the bedtime blood glucose test for the 7-point profile.
